Strategy Role

An article by College of Business Professor of Management Julie Siciliano, Ph.D., has been accepted for publication this summer in the Journal of General
Management. Titled “Board Involvement in Strategy and Organizational Performance,” the article reports on a study of the nature and extent of board of
director involvement in strategic management. It also examines the board”s strategy role in relation to organizational performance. Dr. Siciliano, Health
First chair in community healthcare management, assists nonprofit organizations, for-profit firms and state agencies in the development and implementation
of strategic plans through grant-funded and consulting projects. She is a member of the Academy of Management, both the national association and its
Eastern and Southern regional affiliates. Dr. Siciliano serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Business Ethics. Her teaching duties at Florida
Tech include business strategy and policy at the graduate and undergraduate level. She is the adviser for the College of Business chapter of the Delta Mu
Delta.
