Florida Tech Included in U.S. News & World Report Top Online Education Programs 2012 Honor Roll
Article By Christopher J. Durie
With the expansion of online programs in higher education nationwide, it was only a matter of time before U.S. News & World Report would begin to collect and publish data regarding online programs.
U.S. News & World Report is known for its annual ranking guides that many students use when researching colleges to attend for traditional ground-based programs. This year the company put together its first report on both graduate and undergraduate online programs.
Florida Tech’s Nathan M. Bisk College of Business is proud to announce that both its online undergraduate business program and graduate business program were included in the report.
Unlike its traditional system of ranking schools, which has led to some criticisms by higher education institutions, U.S. News & World Report created an unranked honor roll for online programs.
Florida Tech was the only one of four schools on the undergraduate honor roll and only one of fourteen for the graduate honor roll. In addition to this, Florida Tech has the added distinction of being the only school to have been placed on both honor rolls.
