Womens Business Center Seminar Continues Grant-Writing Support

MELBOURNE, FLA. — The Florida Tech Women’s Business Center (WBC) presents the seminar, “The Truth About Grants” on Tuesday, April 23, from 9:30 a.m. to 4
p.m. Pre-registration is required; the cost is $65.

This grant innovation workshop will help to avoid common pitfalls. It will teach how to structure a grant proposal according to federal and private
guidelines; how to understand and respond to solicitations; where to locate grant opportunities; how to effectively navigate government Web sites; and how
to find alternative funding. Participants will learn how to prepare their grant proposals to be responsive to the varied elements required by individual
funders.

The course will be held on campus in the Denius Student Center’s Hartley Room on the second floor.

The WBC offers well-equipped facilities conveniently located at Florida Tech; teachers, mentors and volunteers with expertise and business knowledge;
partnering with community organizations for broad outreach; and training and resources that are onsite and online to accommodate busy schedules and provide
easy access.
