Florida Tech Unveils Weekly Morning Lectures to Brevard County Community

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Florida Institute of Technology’s Continuing Education Department announces a new weekly lecture series taught by distinguished Florida Tech professors, May 7-July 23. Lifelong Scholar Society presentations are intended to allow older audiences to appreciate the knowledge and expertise at the university as well as re-live their college experience.

The lectures will be Tuesdays, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the F.W. Olin Engineering Building Auditorium, room 118. Each class will be taught by a different professor, allowing for a range of topics to be covered during each semester. The first lecture will be presented by Computer Sciences Professor Scott Tilley who will deliver “Technology and Society.” The second, on May 14, “Florida Culture,” will be presented by Associate Professor of Humanities and Communication Lisa Perdigao.
