X-Culture: An Experience to Remember

Guest Blogger: Brian Flynn, Nathan M. Bisk College of Business student

Part 1:

I can tell that this is going to be an experience to remember. It is going to be hard to work together when we aren’t able to meet or see anybody. We have created a Facebook page for our group and we carry on conversations through that. It has made things a little easier than email seeing as today’s generation checks Facebook more than their email. I have been in contact with all of my teammates and we did not get any people added into our group. So far we are having success communicating.

We have decided to use BreadTalk as our company. Their products are buns, pastries, and cakes. They are doing business in most of Asia but we will be looking into expanding to other Asian countries.

Part 2:

This has been a great experience! Working with other students from across the world has been fun. It was a challenge getting all the pieces of the draft report together but we managed. I noticed that time differences was a big issue with trying to get all the parts completed and all together on time.

I was assuming that we were going to have an issue turning the report into turnitin.com. I thought we were going to have more plagiarism than we ended up having. I was very pleased with our final draft report that we submitted. I look forward to finishing this project and possibly meeting a teammate down the road.
