Women’s Business Center Offers Intermediate QuickBooks Class

MELBOURNE, FLA.—The Women’s Business Center at Florida Institute of Technology will offer the two-meeting seminar, QuickBooks Intermediate class, Tuesday, Feb. 23 and Thursday Feb. 25, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. It will be taught by Katherine Johnson, owner of Intercoastal Accounting. Johnson is a certified QuickBooks pro-adviser and accountant with more than 30 years of experience.

Experience with QuickBooks is required. Participants will learn advanced features through step-by-step QuickBooks Intermediate instructions. The topics covered include reimbursable expenses, invoicing for billable time, setting up and tracking inventory, invoicing for inventory items, purchase orders, setting up and paying sales tax items, time tracking, tracking subcontractor time, payroll accounts and items, setting up year-to-date payroll amounts, processing payroll, creating a business plan, processing Form 1099 and more.

The fee for the seminar is $190 and includes a book and certificate upon completion. Instruction will be held at The Women’s Business Center, located on the third floor of the Link Building, in Room 323.
