X-Culture: Putting it All Together

Now that we are to the final week it is crunch time. I am the person who has to put all of the stuff together and compile the whole report as well as check the spelling. This isn’t a problem for me but when most of my teammates send me their parts after the agreed upon deadline and don’t use the proper citations as well as needing grammar checks…it can be a little bit of a pain. I also had problems with the submission to turnitin.com. Our sheet had the wrong class number so I turned it in to the wrong place. I figured it out and fixed everything and all was well. Then one of my other teammates emailed us that she got an email saying it was never turned in, so she decided to turn it in and she got a report of 87% plagiarism because I have turned it in previously. So we had to email back and forth, and it was all a big mess. But fortunately it is all figured out.

Now I am currently waiting for my teammates to send to me their sections with the revisions, the correct APA citations and a summary for their section so I can do the executive summary…hopefully that will get to me before Monday (the due date) so I have time to put it all together. But I have my doubts about that. Although I feel like frustrated at times with this project, our team did all turn in their parts, and our paper had a 16% plagiarism rate which is not bad. It could have turned out a lot worse and been a much bigger struggle.

I am really looking forward to finishing this project and turning it in and getting the grade and feedback on it. It gives insight into the real world and shows just how difficult it must be to work with people all over the world.
