Florida Tech’s Treat or Treat Returns to Campus Oct. 29

Free Family Event Features Candy, Haunted Houses, Activities for All Ages

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Tech’s free Halloween festival for families and kids is back after a two-year pandemic hiatus with new haunted houses, lots of candy and a host of games and activities.

Treat-or-Treat will run from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 on the university’s Melbourne campus.

The main attraction will be five theatrical haunted houses in the Residence Hall Quad along Country Club Road with age-appropriate themes and escalating levels of scariness. From least scary to most, they are:

  • Pete’s Animal Pals, age range 5 and under
  • Monster Motel, age range 5-8
  • Supervillain Sanitarium, age range 8-12
  • The Quiet Thrill, age range 10-13
  • The Upside Down, age range 13 and older

In addition to the haunted houses, the event will include games, food, a costume contest, live performances, inflatables and a pumpkin patch.

Treat or Treat is hosted by the Florida Tech Residence Life and its staff of about sixty dedicated student resident assistants, in collaboration with Student Life. Also helping are over 100 student volunteers from Florida Tech Greek life, Student Government, athletics, Campus Activities Board, ROTC and various on-campus clubs and organizations.
