You spoke, and we listened. Over the last few months, we've made great strides to take student requests and feedback into account. To start, we're modifying our normal semester hours to better reflect our users' needs and desires. Beginning August 17th, regular library hours will be as follows: Monday - Thursday 7:45 a.m. - Midnight Friday 7:45 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Sunday 10:00 a.m. - Midnight Follow the numbers below to see what other changes and enhancements we've made! https://instagram.com/p/zc4-osxPYc/?taken-by=fitevanslibrary Monday - Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Friday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. And a bonus: the cafe will remain open during lunch hours. We’re making studying a little more comfortable. Our hammock was introduced at the beginning of summer 2015. You can find it on the fourth floor, just outside the Baney Room. Kick back, relax, study, or nap (but keep the snoring to a reasonable level - it is the silent floor, after all). https://instagram.com/p/2l7-OpxPYj/?taken-by=fitevanslibrary Power strips! Get your power strips! Phone charger can’t quite reach the power outlet? Just grab a power strip from one of the buckets located near the entrance to each floor. When you’re done, leave the strip plugged in or drop it back in the bucket. Feeling a little cold? Grab a fleece from the basket on the fourth floor and warm up. Climate control is extremely important to libraries, but that doesn't mean you have to suffer. Grab a blanket (or two!) and defrost. You may want to stand up for this news. More and more the research is showing us that sitting for 8 hours a day just isn’t good for us. Take a stand (literally) for better study and health habits by using one of our adjustable height desks on the first floor.
