Joaquin Zamarripa Named July MVP

Joaquin Zamarripa, mailroom and shipping material handler II, has been named Florida Tech’s Most Valuable Panther for July.

In announcing the award, the Office of Human Resources said:

“Joaquin Zamarripa is relatively new to Florida Tech, joining us not quite a year ago. In a short time he has proven his Panther quality as a team player and hard worker, qualities noticed within his department and across the campus.

Joaquin delivers packages with a smile. He is sensitive to the needs of the departments and the people he interacts with. Joaquin goes out of his way to ensure heavy boxes are moved to their final location, not just dropping them at the front. He has also been known to pitch in at the mail room, helping to deliver mail when someone is out.

One department received a defective item from their vendor: moving crates with missing wheels. Joaquin assisted them with the process of contacting the vendor, he consistently puts his willingness to help into action. This makes Joaquin Zamarripa our Most Valuable Panther.”

The MVP program recognizes faculty and staff who embody the university’s standards for innovation as demonstrated by their excellence and quality of service. To nominate future MVPs, visit www.fit.edu/hr/forms-and-documents/most-valuable-panther-mvp-nomination-form/#form.
