Bing Bang, Novelty Percussion Group, to Give Two Performances

– Bing Bang, an ensemble of 20 non-traditional percussionists from Central Middle School and Melbourne High School, make rhythm and music with anything
handy. They will perform their novel music with the theme of 1940s suspense radio shows, on Sunday, May 1, at 1 p.m., in Florida Tech’s Gleason Performing
Arts Center.

Group director and founder is KB van Oene; co-instructor is her long-time friend, Rich Sweat. Both are percussionists with Bing Bang. Van Oene showcases
the group’s talents to help raise money for traditional percussion instruments for the middle school’s and high school’s music programs.

Admission is $10. Tickets may be purchased through van Oene in advance. Contact her at kvanoene@fit.edu. A limited number of tickets will be available at
the door.

The Gleason Performing Arts Center is located at the corner of Babcock St. and University Blvd. For more information, contact Michelle Hibbard, Florida
Tech director of the Community Activities Board, at (321) 674-8080, or visit www.queenfishstudios.com
