Florida Tech Garners International Recognition for Diversity, Teaching
University Highest Ranked in Florida
for International Diversity
MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Tech was recognized for a host of strengths in the 2020 rankings from the respected international agency Round University Ranking (RUR), including international diversity, natural sciences and teaching.
Known for its rich global diversity, Florida Tech was ranked in the top-tier Diamond League in the 2020 RUR International Diversity Ranking, appearing at No. 63 out of 813 universities from around the world. It was the highest-ranked institution in Florida.
When it comes to teaching natural sciences, Florida Tech again excelled. The university was ranked in the Golden League among more than 700 universities from 80 countries, and joined University of Florida as the top two Florida schools in the category.
In teaching, Florida Tech was again among the best in Florida, coming in at the No. 2 spot behind the University of Florida among more than 135 U.S.-based institutions.
RUR, using data from U.S.-based Clarivate Analytics, evaluates universities by 20 indicators grouped into four key areas of university activity: Teaching, Research, International Diversity and Financial Sustainability.
