Florida Tech Hosts Five Free Spring Concerts by University Performance Ensembles in April

MELBOURNE, FLA. –The Florida Institute of Technology Department of Humanities and Communication will host five musical performances in April. The concerts, which will be performed by Florida Tech’s eclectic musical ensembles at 7 p.m. each night, are free and open to the public.

The April 13 concert, “Choral Soup for the Soul: An Evening of Vocal Inspiration,” by the Florida Tech Concert Choir ensemble, will be held in the Denius Student Center’s Hartley Room on campus.

On April 16 the Panther Jazz Big Band will perform “April in Paris: A Tribute to Count Basie” in the Gleason Performing Arts Center on campus.

The next concert on April 19, “A Celebration of Music for the Stage and Screen,” will be presented by the Wind Ensemble in the Gleason Performing Arts Center.

On April 20 the String Ensemble will perform “Adventure on the High Seas: String Music for the Ultimate Explorer” in the Hartley Room.

The Jazz Syndicate Combo concert will conclude the month’s performances on April 23 with “Jazz at the Hartley Room: An Evening of Jazz with Special Guests” in the Hartley Room.
