Florida Tech to Commission Two in U.S. Army
MELBOURNE, FLA. — On Saturday, Dec. 13, two ROTC cadets are graduating from Florida Tech at 10 a.m. and will be commissioned into the U.S. Army as second
lieutenants at 2 p.m. They are Andrew Goetz and John Tully Jr.
Goetz, an aerospace engineering major from Port St. Lucie, Fla., will be going into the Army National Guard as a military intelligence officer.
Tully, a civil engineering major from Westminster, Mass. has been the cadet battalion commander and cadet ranger company commander. He will be joining the
infantry.
Guest speaker at the commissioning ceremony will be the Florida National Guard’s Maj. Michael A. Ladd. He commands the Chemical, Biological, Radiological,
Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) incidents Enhanced Response Force Package in St. Augustine.
