Florida Tech to Offer STEM Summer Academy June 16-20

Registration is open for Florida Tech’s STEM Summer Academy, a weeklong, intensive, hands-on tour of critical areas of science, technology, engineering and math held June 16-20 and guided by university faculty and graduate students along with leading industry and aviation professionals.

“This program is ideal for motivated high school students who are interested in exploring STEM fields and careers and enthusiastic about connecting with like-minded peers and professional mentors,” said Munevver Subasi, associate provost for academic affairs at Florida Tech. “We’ve designed the Academy to emphasize practical applications, creative thinking and the development of technical skills that will matter for future academic and professional pursuits. It’s really a great opportunity.”

Participants will have access to advanced lab equipment and cutting-edge technologies on the Florida Tech campus as they move beyond textbooks to tackle real-world challenges and develop technical skills.

Beyond the technical aspects, students will develop crucial collaborative skills by working in teams and learn how interdisciplinary approaches drive innovation in today’s interconnected world as they see firsthand how concepts from different STEM fields combine to create novel solutions. Throughout the program, students will have opportunities to gain valuable insights into college life and various career pathways.
