Four ROTC Cadets to be Commissioned at Florida Tech Dec. 17

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Four U.S. Army cadets will receive commissions as second lieutenants at Florida Institute of Technology Dec. 17 and will receive their bachelor’s degrees at commencement that day.

They are Alan Blount of Dade City, Fla., who is entering the Infantry/Military Intelligence Branch and receiving a degree in aerospace engineering; Joel Castillo of Doral, Fla., who is entering the Aviation Branch and earning a degree in interdisciplinary science; Jesse Jordan of Daytona Beach, Fla., who is entering the Corps of Engineers and earning a degree in civil engineering; and Matthew McMinn of Lusby, Md., who is joining the Field Artillery Branch and earning a degree in aerospace engineering.

At 2 p.m. on graduation day the cadets will participate in a commissioning ceremony on campus in the Hartley Room of the Denius Student Center.
