Florida Tech Offers Lecture on Human Factors

– Dr. Peter Hancock, former president of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society and current professor of psychology at the University of Florida, will
speak on human factors at Florida Tech on April 4 at 3 p.m. The lecture, to be held in the Skurla Aeronautics Building Auditorium, Room 110, is open to the
public. The building is on the corner of University Blvd. and Country Club Rd.

Human factors is the study of the characteristics of human beings that are applicable to the design of systems and devices of all kinds. The aim of human
factors research is to achieve compatibility in the design of interactive systems of people, machines, and environments to ensure their effectiveness,
safety, and ease of performance.

Florida Tech offers a master’s degree in aviation human factors.
