Glass Artist Fahan Sky McDonagh in the Spotlight at Foosaner Art Museum’s April 28 Museum Monday

MELBOURNE, FLA. Florida Institute of Technology’s Foosaner Art Museum will present artist Fahan Sky McDonagh as the focus of the Museum Monday event set for April 28 at 10 a.m. in the museum’s Harris Community Auditorium.

McDonagh, who earned a Master’s of Fine Art specializing in glass from Rochester Institute of Technology, creates sculpture using many different glass techniques. She has said glass is an endlessly inspiring medium that elevates her work and gives her the freedom to visually express herself.

At the free, one-hour Museum Monday event, McDonagh will offer a PowerPoint presentation about the process of her particular medium, while also touching on her work and the history of her growth as an artist. She will also bring a few of her pieces to show.

Museum Monday is a community outreach program that focuses on art and creativity. Each free program is held on the fourth Monday of the month from January through May.
