Six Area Florida Tech Business Students Named Outstanding

– Six area School of Management students were named Outstanding Students at Florida Tech’s Annual Honors Convocation recently.

Rachel Hartos of Mims was named an Outstanding Sophomore and Priscilla Arteaga of West Melbourne was named an Outstanding Junior. Outstanding Seniors were
James Sparks of Melbourne; Sabrina Moravecky of Malabar; Naomi Delgado of Palm Bay; and Aliece Gorman of Melbourne. Delgado, a business administration
major, and Gorman, a management information systems major, were also named Distinguished Student Scholars.

A faculty committee in each department selects outstanding sophomores, juniors and seniors at the end of each academic year. They are chosen for academic
excellence, involvement in organizations in their disciplines, and for participation in community and campus betterment activities.

Delgado and Gorman were two of just 68 university students named Distinguished Student Scholars at the university’s Annual Honors Convocation. Students
earning the distinction were required to have completed more than 52 credit hours with a grade point average of at least 3.8.

Florida Tech was one of just two Florida institutions of higher education listed in Peterson’s Top Colleges for Science and has been named as one of
America’s best colleges by U.S. News & World Report for 13 consecutive years.
