Johnson’s selflessness and care for others make her more than just a coworker; she is a friend to all. Her energy and expertise are truly irreplaceable and contribute to our positive work environment at Florida Tech.
Her years of experience at Florida Tech have been invaluable, especially in interpreting policy, navigating the mechanics of Banner/PAWS, handling student records, planning commencement and assisting with many of the general functions of the Registrar’s Office. Currently, she plays an important role in developing and implementing Degree Works. Completing this project will improve academic services and how student records are processed. Along with her everyday duties as associate registrar, Johnson also plays a critical role in making our commencement exercises successful. She dedicates weeks of planning each semester to ensure our graduates and guests have a positive and memorable experience. Some of her contributions include coordinating seating for our graduates, training registrar staff, implementing accommodations for guests, preparing Gleason and Clemente and taking the lead on any problems that may arise on commencement day. She has developed a strong rapport with many departments and staff across campus, making the hard work around commencement feel effortless and enjoyable. When thanked or complimented for her efforts, she always humbly responds, ‘I have a great team.’
This makes Jenn Havery Johnson our Most Valuable Panther.”
