Men’s, Women’s Soccer are NCAA Tournament Bound

MELBOURNE, Fla. — Florida Tech men’s and women’s soccer programs have clinched berths in the 2023 NCAA Division II Tournament. 

Men’s Soccer
 
Florida Tech men’s soccer will host the first and second rounds of the 2023 NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Championship on Nov. 16-18 at Rick Stottler Field.
 
The Panthers earned the No. 2 seed in Super Region 2 and will receive a first-round bye. Tech will face the winner of the Lynn and Chowan contest on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m.
 
Led by head coach Robin Chan, the Panthers went 11-2-4 this season and finished runner-up in the Sunshine State Conference Tournament after falling to Barry 1-0 in Sunday’s championship match. This is the program’s second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and its 12th overall.
 
The third round and quarterfinals will be Thursday, Nov. 30-Sunday, Dec. 3 at a location to be determined. The semifinals and final will be played Thursday, Dec. 7-Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Mecklenburg County Sportsplex in Matthews, North Carolina.
 
Women’s Soccer
 
The Panther women have earned the No. 3 seed in the South Region and will face the six seed and SSC member Rollins in the opening round of the tournament on Friday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m.
 
Florida Tech, led by head coach Ryan Moon, went 13-2-3 this season, earning the Sunshine State Conference regular season co-champions title alongside Embry-Riddle, and finished runner-up in the SSC Tournament after falling to Embry-Riddle 1-0 on Sunday’s championship game.
 
This is the program’s eighth NCAA Tournament appearance and first since 2021.
 
Rollins is 9-6-3 and went 6-3-1 in SSC play in 2023 before being knocked out by Eckerd, 2-0, in the SSC Quarterfinals.
 
The Panthers defeated Rollins 2-0 in regular season play in late October. 
 
The winner of the match up will take on Lee, the second seed in the South Region, in the second round on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m.
 
The third round and quarterfinals are set for Dec. 1-3 at a location to be determined. The semifinals and championship game will be held Dec. 7-9 at the Mecklenburg County Sportsplex in Matthews, North Carolina.
