Join Party in Pink Zumbathon to Fight Breast Cancer Sept. 22 at Florida Tech Clemente Center

MELBOURNE, FLA.—The second annual Party in Pink Zumbathon will take place Sept. 22, 2-4 p.m., in the Florida Institute of Technology Clemente Center for Sports and Recreation. The dance fitness program event is an awareness-booster and fundraiser benefiting the Zumba Global Research Grant for Breast Cancer Prevention, managed by Susan G. Komen.

“Last year the Zumbathon raised more than $3,000 with over 250 students, faculty, staff and community members participating. The FIT football team had fun, too and we expect the players to be there again this year,” said Susan Vallette, co-host with Grace Arbelo, both Zumba Fitness instructors at Florida Tech and the Indian Harbour Beach Recreation Center.

During the first hour 14 local instructors will lead songs and Zumba routines. The last half hour features event headliner Bernadett Fejszes from Boca Raton. She is a Zumba Jammer officially selected by the Zumba organization.

The event raises money through ticket sales, a raffle and donations. Tickets for the event are $15 for adults and $10 for students; they are available before the event, or via PayPal and at the door. This event is open to the public; people can join in the Zumba fun or just watch, but must purchase a ticket.
