Conversations with Living Books

Join us for an evening of exploration and discovery as members of the Florida Tech community share diverse and culturally-rich life experiences with participants in one-on-one conversations.

To promote positive dialogue and cultural understanding, Library After Hours, International Student and Scholar Services and the Cross-Cultural Competence Certificate (3C) program is hosting Conversations with Living Books

The living books have volunteered to participate and share their stories as a way of promoting awareness and encouraging cultural consciousness and exchange.  Each living book is an individual with an individual story of unique international experience.

Readers will have the opportunity to sit down with the books of most interest to them and engage in a one-on-one conversation. This face to face time is an opportunity to share humanity and learn and ask questions about people whose experience may be vastly different from your own.

Conversations with Living Books is being held in recognition of International Education Week and is a celebration of Florida Tech’s international and cultural diversity.

Evans Library first floor Friday, November 22 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
