Scott Center for Autism Treatment Helps with Community Socialization

MELBOURNE, FLA. — The Scott Center for Autism Treatment at Florida Institute of Technology presents “Let’s Get Social! Take 2” every Thursday, 5-6 p.m., beginning Jan. 17. This opportunity is for anyone in the community, age 18-28, with Asperger’s Syndrome or other social communication challenge. The program offers support in dealing with social challenges at college or work and with friends, family and relationships. There is no cost.

“Let’s Get Social” is a weekly group session sponsored by Florida Tech’s Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) and The Scott Center’s Community Psychological Services, which provides discussions about managing stress, communication, taking others’ perspectives, relationship issues and more.
