Florida Tech Awards Bridge to Success Scholarships To Transfer Students

MELBOURNE, FLA.Florida Institute of Technology has announced the Bridge to Success Scholarship Award, which is awarded to seven high academic achievers who have earned associate of arts degrees and are transferring from several Florida colleges to Florida Tech in fall 2013. The scholarships are guaranteed to include a combination of grants and other funds equal to full-time tuition for two years.

Selected students are: Kristin Wood, a biomedical engineering major transferring from Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth; Richard Martin, a biomedical engineering major transferring from Indian River State College in Ft. Pierce; Elizabeth Eby, a forensic psychology major transferring from Seminole State College of Florida in Oviedo; Cheyanne Kauffman, a business administration major transferring from Florida State College in Jacksonville; Kelly Gray, a mechanical engineering major transferring from Florida Gateway College in Lake City; Elizabeth Heeke, a mechanical engineering major transferring from Palm Beach State College; and Ivanna Mahabir, a computer engineering major, transferring from South Florida Community College in Avon Park.

These students all have exceptional cumulative grade point averages. The scholarships are awarded annually to transfer students planning to enter Florida Tech in the fall semester.
