Florida Tech Continuing Education Offers Leadership Camp

Mental and Physical Challenges Await 7th-12th graders

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Institute of Technology’s Continuing Education Department will host a Young Outstanding Leadership Obstacle summer camp.

This one-week course will have two sessions, July 14-19 and July 20-25. Designed for children in 7th to 12th grade who are interested in becoming effective leaders in the classroom and beyond, the camp will allow individuals and teams to develop skills and qualities such as team building, problem solving, leadership, cooperation, decision making, confidence, physical fitness and mental stamina.

The opening five days of the first session, from July 14-18, will be held on the Florida Tech campus. Students will be in classrooms, learning leadership skills. On July 19, students will test the skills they’ve learned in the classroom on the Florida Tech Ropes Challenge Course. The second session will start with the Ropes Challenge Course on July 20 and then head to the classroom from July 21-25.
