U.S. Space Force STARCOM Visits Florida Tech

Florida Tech was honored to welcome a distinguished delegation from the U.S. Space Force Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM) to campus on Wednesday.

Led by Maj. Gen. Tim Sejba, the STARCOM group explored dynamic partnership opportunities with Florida Tech President John Nicklow and other campus leaders.

The group also toured key facilities on campus, including the Olin Engineering Complex, the L3Harris Student Design Center, where they spoke to a student team designing a mechanical manatee, and lastly the esports facility before meeting privately to conclude the visit.

“Florida Tech’s location in the heart of the Space Coast and the university’s storied history in space and defense make it a strong fit for STARCOM’s training and research initiatives,” Nicklow said. “We look forward to harnessing our combined power and expertise to innovate and grow, together.”
