MELBOURNE, FLA. — WFIT 89.5 FM, a leading public radio station licensed to Florida Tech that has served the Space Coast community since 1975, is pleased to announce the addition of two new team members.

Steven Keller joins WFIT as program director, overseeing the station’s on-air sound and fostering relationships within the music industry. With deep roots in the Central Florida music scene, notably through his involvement in the Space Coast Music Festival and the hundreds of regional bands the event showcases, Keller is no stranger to promoting local talent.
He also previously programmed for WCVF-AM/FM at the State University of New York in Fredonia, New York, and he’s a singer in the band Best Supporting Actor.
“As a long-time fan of the station, I am thrilled to now be part of its inner workings,” Keller said. “WFIT is truly a cornerstone of our community, and I am eager to contribute to its continued success.”

Andy Scholl has been hired as WFIT’s membership and volunteer manager, where he will play a pivotal role in raising awareness and funding from the station’s listeners. Additionally, he will oversee volunteer programs at the station, which comprises over 100 people who serve as WFIT ambassadors at community events and activities.
Prior to joining WFIT, Scholl was involved in fundraising efforts for pediatric cancer at Candlelighters of Brevard County.
“I am excited to connect with our donors and further strengthen our connections with the community,” Scholl said. “WFIT holds a special place in the hearts of Brevard County residents, and I am committed to enhancing our community engagement efforts.”
WFIT General Manager Stephen Yasko expressed enthusiasm for the new additions to the team. “Steve and Andy bring not only their expertise but also their passion for public media and music,” he said. “With their valuable contributions, WFIT is poised to make an even greater impact on the Space Coast of Florida.”
