Women in Fifth; Iacobelli Leading After Two Rounds
ST. LEO, Fla. (Women’s Golf) – Florida Tech’s women’s golf team made it through 36 holes Monday in the St. Leo Fall Invitational and after
two rounds, the Panthers sit in fifth place out of nine teams with a 652 (331-321). Junior Daniela Iacobelli leads the field of 47 golfers
with a one-under par 143 (71-72) and is four strokes ahead of her competition. Stacey O’Hara and Natalie Kohler
both stepped up their game in the second round of the day, improving by a combined 16 stroked to help the Panthers’ cause. Florida Southern’s ‘A’
Team finished the day as the top team, carding a 597 – seven strokes ahead of second-place Barry University.
Florida Tech heads back to the course Tuesday for the third and final round of the St. Leo Invitational.
