Panthers Unable to Win Home Bout Against Nova Southeastern

Coenraad’s (Brisbane, Australia) career-high 28 points led the Nova Southeastern University men’s basketball team (7-4, 1-1 SSC) to an 88-71 victory over
the Florida Tech (3-10, 0-3 SSC) on Saturday afternoon in a Sunshine State Conference game played at the Clemente Center in Melbourne, Fla.

Tech had two other players score in the double figures with senior Titas Vainauskas (Vilnius, Lithauania) notching 13 points, five rebounds and three
blocks. Senior guard Desmond Greene (Rockledge, Fla.) added 11 points hitting 4-6 from the field.

Coenraad was one of four NSU players to score in double figures for the game, as Oresti Nitsios (So., Victoria, Australia), Calvin Jenkins (Sr.,
Germantown, Md.) and Rhys Martin (Fr., Brisbane, Australia) scored 16, 15 and 14 points, respectively. Senior guard Luis Gurrieres (Miami, Fla.) also
grabbed a career and game-high 16 rebounds in the win to go along with nine points.

Tech lost the game under the boards only pulling down 26 rebounds to the Sharks 50 for the contest.

The Panthers will be back in action on Wednesday the 11th when the travel to Tampa to face the Spartans at 7:30 p.m.
