Teens Explore Florida Tech and Careers on LASER Day 2009 Nov. 4
MELBOURNE, FLA.—Florida Institute of Technology’s 18th Annual LASER (Liberal Arts, Science and Engineering Resource) Day will be held on campus on Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 2:15 to 8:15 p.m. The free event is designed for 10th, 11th and 12th graders, their parents, teachers, guidance counselors, and community college students. A collaboration of the Florida Tech College of Science, College of Engineering and College of Psychology and Liberal Arts, the host for the event will be Dr. Hamid Rassoul, Associate Dean of the College of Science.
Students can make a tough selection of three topics from 24 to attend in consecutive, activity-filled sessions. The topic list includes:

LASER Day check-in begins at 2:15 p.m. with a welcome orientation in the Gleason Performing Arts Center, located on University Boulevard, near Babcock Street. The event ends with dinner (optional) and concluding remarks, starting at 6:20 p.m. in the Hartley Room of the Denius Student Center.
A special session just for parents, Financial Aid 101, takes place from 4 to 5 p.m. in room 403 of the Crawford Building.
