X-Culture: Off to a Good Start

Guest Blogger: Gary Ogilvie, Nathan M. Bisk College of Business student

The X-Culture project is an exciting opportunity for us as students. It allows us to gain valuable experience working with international students from all over the world. I personally was involved in a virtual team this summer during one of my online summer classes. To be honest I had a terrible time, falling out with one of my “teammates” . However I feel that this experience opened my eyes and I learned a lot about working with people who have different opinions from me, this will help me to no end in this project and I am looking forward to learning a lot more.

Our group has already established contact and we have set up a Facebook group for easier communication, and also to see who we are working with. We are in the early stages at the moment, but my team seems friendly and excited to start this project. Personally I am looking to gain not only an A from the great Mr Muth, but an experience where I can learn a lot to help me in my future, wherever that may be.
