Florida Tech to Host ‘Women in Power’ Luncheon Series; Jan. 20 Event Features Morgan Fairchild
MELBOURNE, FLA.—The Florida Institute of Technology Women’s Business Center (WBC), PNC Financial Services Group Inc. (NYSE: PNC) and LEAD Brevard present a Jan. 20 event in the Women in Power Luncheon Series. The luncheon, “Women in Hollywood,” will honor TV and theater celebrity Morgan Fairchild and will be held at the Suntree Country Club beginning at noon. The cost is $50 per person.
Fairchild, a Golden Globe Award nominee, originated the role of Jenna Wade on “Dallas,” and has appeared on such series as “Barnaby Jones,” Happy Days,” “Friends” and “Cybill.” She is also an outspoken and dedicated supporter of AIDS research and a range of environmental issues. She has been asked by former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop to substitute for him at AIDS events and has hosted an AIDS Awareness Special with news anchorman Steve Bell. She has also appeared twice on “Nightline” with Ted Koppel regarding AIDS and on “Sixty Minutes” on women’s issues.
The luncheon benefits the Florida Tech Women’s Business Center.
PNC created the Women in Power series to raise awareness for the community organizations that support the development and empowerment of women. PNC partners with these organizations to host luncheons that feature notable national and international women.
