Women’s Business Center’s Gitlin Featured at Go for the Greens Conference

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Beth Gitlin, Executive Director of the Women’s Business Center at Florida Institute of Technology, will be a featured panelist and moderator at the Go for the Greens Conference Sept. 10-13 at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort in Orlando.

A business development conference for female entrepreneurs, Go for the Greens offers one-on-one matchmaking sessions and informal networking opportunities with corporations and government agencies interested in doing business with female and minority-owned companies. The conference also features professional development programming on topics such as procurement and contracting, finding capital, conducting international business and marketing.

Gitlin will moderate a panel on Sept. 11 – “Today’s Secrets to Successful Government Contracting” – featuring panelists from the Florida 8A Alliance and the Florida Department of Transportation, among others.

On Sept. 12, Gitlin will participate in a panel discussion called, “Stepping Up Your Game: How Mixing Business and Sports Can Change Your Life.” She will speak to the tie between her passion for competing in and coaching team sports (basketball, volleyball and Dragon Boating) and how that helped in her development as a businesswoman, team player, networker and leader.

“I’m looking forward to sharing my story and hope to inspire this year’s Go for the Greens attendees,” she said.

This year’s event will feature keynotes and workshops tied to forming strategic alliances for growth, hiring and retention, sustainability, the benefits of collaboration software, mobile apps for social media management, financing and more.
