Undergraduate aviation management major Souleymane Sall was awarded the UAA Janice K. Barden Aviation Scholarship from the National Business Aviation Association’s charitable arm.
The scholarship, awarded at a minimum of $1,000 to undergraduates studying aviation or related areas is named for the late Janice K. Barden, who was long active in the aviation community and in the Aviation Association, known as NBAA.
Sall, pictured above, and 14 other recipients across six scholarship programs were announced at the recently concluded NBAA convention in Las Vegas.
Founded in 1947, the Washington, DC-based NBAA is the leading organization for companies that rely on general aviation aircraft to help make their businesses more efficient, productive and successful. The association represents more than 10,000 company and professional members and provides more than 100 products and services to the business aviation community.
