Psychology Research Colloquium March 25 Open to Community, Free

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Community members are invited to attend Florida Institute of Technology’s annual School of Psychology colloquium, Applying the Science of Psychology, on Friday, March 25, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. All presentations are free. Up to four Continuing Education Credits are available for psychologists, clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists and mental health counselors. One Type II CE will be awarded for Board Certified Behavior Analysts and Board Certified Associate Behavior Analysts.

The event is in the Denius Student Center’s second floor Hartley Room. The schedule of sessions is as follows:

8-8:30 a.m. Check-in

 8:30-9:15 a.m. Welcome by Frederic Ham, Vice President for Research

 9:15-10:15 a.m. Evidence-Based Practice in Educational Settings

 10:15-10:30 a.m. Break

 10:30-11:30 a.m. Learning-Based Interventions across the Lifespan

 11:30 a.m.-noon Lunch

 Noon-1 p.m. Personality Assessment Research for Practical Purposes

 1:15-2:15 p.m. Advances in Applied Psychology: Psychological Research for the Workplace and the Courtroom

 2:15-3 p.m. Dean Mary Beth Kenkel’s Closing Remarks and Awards
