IEMS Conference

A paper submitted by John R. Patton, D.B.A., associate professor of management and international business, has been accepted for presentation at the 10th
annual International Conference on Industry, Engineering and Management Systems (IEMS) in Cocoa Beach in March. Dr. Patton will be presenting his paper
which is titled “Computerized Project Management Information Systems.” In the abstract he “suggests that computerized information systems are essential for
a number of important reasons to include virtual project management, collaboration of employees on projects, and for the integration of intranets and
extranets and other network integration technology applications.” The purpose of his paper “is aimed at defining the managerial uses and potential benefits
from creating an automated environment for achieving integration of both organizational levels and data processes that would optimize the overall project
management process.”
