Meet the Author of Thriller, ‘Dead River’

– Dr. Fredric M. Ham, Florida Tech Endowed Harris Professor of Electrical Engineering, will be available Wednesday, July 5, from 3 to 4 p.m., to discuss
his online thriller, Dead River. This “Meet the Author” event will take place in Evans Library’s second-floor multimedia room, on the Florida Tech campus.
Admission is free.

The book by the first-time novelist was recently reviewed by the online, Upstage Magazine. “Dead River is an excellent first novel, “said critic Steve
Moonly, in the review. “The characters are well-crafted and Ham offers a couple of unexpected plot twists.”

Ham’s plot concerns a 17-year old who mysteriously vanishes from a Florida beach community (modeled on Cocoa Beach) on a sweltering summer afternoon.

A published writer of 100-plus technical papers and a textbook on artificial neural networks, Ham has also written several short stories and is now writing
his second novel. He lives in Indialantic.

Dead River is published by DigitalPulp Publishing, an independent e-publishing company. It is available at www.dppstore.com.
