Local Author, Harris Corporation, and Evans Library Brainstorm

Tom Wells, Senior Engineering Manager, Harris Corporation, and Frank Perkins, former employee of both Radiation Inc. and Harris Corporation, recently met with Evans Library’s Diane Newman, Special Collections Curator, Erin Mahaney, University Archivist, and Kathy Turner, Associate Dean of Libraries.  Lively discussions centered around a possible collaboration on preserving the history of Radiation Inc., a small Melbourne enterprise that merged with Harris in the last 60s.  Also that day Mr. Perkins donated to the Library his latest book, High Tech Among the Palmettos: The Story of Radiation Inc. and How It Changed the Face of South Brevard County.
