Cross Cultural Management Summit 2018 – Going Beyond Global

Florida Tech’s Institute for Cross Cultural Management and Industrial/Organizational Psychology program hosted the Cross Cultural Management Summit in Orlando, Florida. Bringing together experts from academia, government, military, and the corporate world, the goal of the summit is to leverage organizational science to develop practical and intuitive solutions for organizations facing global challenges.  Participants work together to create real-world solutions to global management problems.

Representing the 2018 theme, Going Beyond Global, Captain Winston Scott, a former NASA astronaut, opened the event. Over the course of the next two days, professionals learned from thought leaders in the field, debated cultural issues in innovation, problem solving, and well-being, and worked collaboratively on interactive exercises. Dr. Jill Tarter of the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) Institute ultimately brought the event to a cosmic close, challenging the audience to look beyond our global boundaries and consider the impact the existence of extraterrestrial intelligent life might have on our current notions of humanity and globalism.
