Reflections from a New Alumnus

The two years I spent being an I/O Psychology student at FIT were the best years in my life. The program gave me the chance to gain the consulting experience way before I completed the program. I had the chance to lead a team that was tasked with developing a covert integrity measure for a real client. This has been one of the best experiences I have had in the program because it helped me see how the consulting world works, as well as practice my leadership skills. Another great thing that I really enjoyed is the family culture of the program. I never felt like I was a stranger because everyone, including faculty and fellow students, treated me like a member of their family. I always got the help that I needed when I asked for it. The great thing about this culture is that you start to feel it before you even get to campus. Thanks to the awesome mentoring program that the program has, I got the chance to make friends and get all the help I needed before I even got to Melbourne. The mentors were very supportive and keen on making sure that my transition went as smoothly as possible. All in all, I am so glad that I picked the FIT I/O program for my graduate studies because I would have missed a lot if I had gone somewhere else.
