Florida Techs Womens Business Center to Host ‘Lunch and Learn’

MELBOURNE, FLA. — The Florida Institute of Technology Women’s Business Center is presenting two seminars of “Lunch and Learn” at the Community Credit Union
(CCU). There is no cost to participants.

Part of the Wi$e-Up Program, the seminars are sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor. The first seminar, “Credit in a Money World,” will be on May 18
from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the CCU on Palm Bay Road. The second seminar, “Savings Basics,” will be May 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rockledge office.

The Women’s Business Center is partially funded through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration and is an outreach of the
College of Business at Florida Tech. The center is committed to providing training, counseling, mentoring and technical assistance targeting women
entrepreneurs and women-owned small businesses in Brevard, Indian River and St. Lucie counties.

Wi$eUp is a financial education program designed for Generation X and Y women. It was developed by the U.S. Department of Labor Women’s Bureau in support
of the Department of Labor’s Strengthening the Family Initiative.
