Undergraduate Program in Applied Behavior Analysis Earns ABAI Accreditation

Florida Tech’s undergraduate program in applied behavior analysis has been accredited by the Association for Behavior Analysis, International (ABAI), the parent organization for the academic discipline of behavior analysis.

Florida Tech bachelor’s degree in applied behavior analysis (ABA) prepares graduates to apply for and take the exam to earn the Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) designation, an undergraduate-level certification in behavior analysis.

This is the program’s first ABAI accreditation.

Associate professor of behavior analysis Mark Harvey worked on the accreditation process, which requires a detailed application focusing on quality of instruction and curriculum and also includes a site visit.

“I know achieving this goal involved a significant amount of time and effort, and I appreciate the fine work that went into this to make the program even more valuable to our students,” Florida Tech Provost John Z. Kiss said.

ABAI accredits bachelor, master’s and doctoral programs in behavior analysis worldwide. Florida Tech’s on-campus ABA master’s degree and Ph.D. programs have been ABAI accredited for more than 10 years.
