Florida Tech’s Scott Center for Autism Treatment Helps with Social Skills and Holds Parent Support Group

MELBOURNE, FLA.—The Scott Center for Autism Treatment at Florida Institute of Technology presents social skills groups for children, adolescents and young adults, starting in late January.

FIT Club is for ages 5-9; FIT Club Panthers is for ages 9-13. Both groups work with FIT athletic teams, playing a variety of sports. Have Fun and FIT In is for ages 14-17; Get in the Game is for young adults, ages 18-28.

Each group meets once a week in the late afternoon at The Scott Center for Autism Treatment. There is a cost-per-session for each group except for Get in the Game, which is free.

A free parent support group, Fresh Perceptions, meets one Wednesday a month in the evening. The first meeting is Jan. 15, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
