Autism-Related Workshop “Early Indicators of Autism” Planned for Jan. 26
MELBOURNE, FLA. – Florida Institute of Technology’s School of Psychology offers free monthly workshops of particular interest to parents, educators and professionals who deal with the issues of autism. They are scheduled from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Scott Center for Autism Treatment
Seminar Room.
The Jan. 26 workshop is “Early Indicators of Autism.” Presenter Jessi Sparling, BCBA, a Scott Center staff member, will focus on the specific diagnostic criteria for autism and the early warning signs that indicate potential need for screening. She also will discuss the spectrum of disorders classified as autism, methods of evaluation and the components of a complete diagnosis.
The Seminar Room is located on the second floor of the Scott Center for Autism Treatment at the south end of the Florida Tech campus. Parking is available off Psychology Place, near University Boulevard.
