Donn Miller-Kermani, Ph.D., has been selected as Florida Tech’s next director of sponsored research after an open, national search, Chief Research Officer Amy Adamson announced. Miller-Kermani had been interim director since June, when former director Carolyn Lockyer retired. She started in her new role on Aug. 31.
Prior to becoming the interim director, she served as assistant director of sponsored research from 2021-2026 and has served in Florida Tech’s research administration for several additional years.
Adamson said Miller-Kermani’s wealth of expertise and experience, collaborative nature and dedication to Florida Tech and its research mission will strengthen the research enterprise and support the continued success of Florida Tech’s faculty, staff and students. “We are thrilled to have Dr. Miller-Kermani at the helm of the Office of Sponsored Research,” she said.
When asked about taking on this role, Miller-Kermani said, “I am simply honored to have the opportunity to serve in this role and to continue supporting the faculty, staff and researchers at Florida Tech. I’ve been fortunate to work with many talented colleagues over the years, and I look forward to building on that collaboration.”
