Florida Tech Offers Free Construction Industry Seminar

– Florida Tech’s Construction Industry Advisory Board (CIAB) and the Department of Civil Engineering will present the free seminar, “Building a Business in
a Rapidly Changing Environment.” It will be held on Aug. 19, from 3-5 p.m. in Florida Tech’s F.W. Olin Engineering Complex, Room 118. The speaker will be
Ben Houston.

Houston, the president of TDIndustries, and a past national president of Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., will discuss how his company has
survived and thrived in changing times. Since 1998, Fortune Magazine has named TDIndustries, a Dallas, Texas mechanical engineering contracting firm, one
of the nation’s top 10 companies to work for.

Florida Tech’s College of Engineering is establishing a Construction Management Program designed to meet the needs of the industry in Central Florida. The
CIAB provides oversight to the program.
