Join in Florida Tech’s Homecoming 2006

– Everyone is invited to join Florida Tech Feb. 22-25 as the university welcomes back alumni and celebrates Homecoming 2006. This year’s theme is “Surf the
Stars.” Several events are open to the public:

Wednesday, Feb. 22 5:30 p.m. Women’s basketball vs. University of Tampa (alumni vs. faculty at half-time) 7:30 p.m. Men’s basketball vs. University of
Tampa Clemente Center

Thursday, Feb. 23 8 a.m. Golf tournament at The Majors in Palm Bay 7-9 p.m. Talent show at the Gleason Performing Arts Center. Tickets, for a nominal
admission fee, will be available at the door.

Friday, Feb. 24 5 to 6:30 p.m. Reception for alumni, former and current faculty Alumni House

Saturday, Feb. 25 11 a.m. to noon. Homecoming Parade begins at University Park Elementary School and ends at Panther Plaza. Joining university athletes,
cheerleaders and student organizations will be many community groups. 1 p.m., approx. Free Community Barbecue at Panther Plaza 2 p.m. Student Ambassadors
campus tours begin at Chao Tsu Yu clock 7:30 p.m. The Alumni Banquet, a buffet featuring chateaubriand and blackened grouper. Cost is $35 per person;
reservations must be made with the Alumni Office by Feb. 22. At the banquet, the Alumni Association’s highest honor, the Lifetime Service Award, will go to
G. Denton Clark, a trustee emeritus and principle force at the start of Brevard Engineering College, now Florida Tech. He was founder Jerome Keuper’s boss
when Keuper decided to leave Radio Corporation of America and become the full-time president of the college.
