Professors Present at Behavior Analysis Convention

MELBOURNE, FLA — Dr. James Martinez-Diaz and Dr. Matt Normand, both associate professors at Florida Tech, delivered presentations at the 32nd Annual
Association for Behavior Analysis Convention.
Dr. Martinez-Diaz, program chair, Applied Behavior Analysis Program, and associate professor, participated in a panel discussion on developing training to
meet the new standards for board certified behavior analysis.
Dr. Matt Normand made three presentations. The titles were “Why Nature Vs. Nurture Should Just Go Away,” “Not So Fast, Mr. Pinkie: Making the Case for
Human Nurture,” and “Old Wine in New Bottles: Science, Quackery, and Autism.”
Approximately 4,000 people from 40 countries attended the convention, held in Atlanta, Ga.
