Florida Tech Faculty Member Presents at Educational Conference

Fort Lee, Va. — Florida Tech Assistant Professor Terry W. Raney, J.D. recently presented “Media: Know the Rules” at the Defense Activity for Nontraditional
Education Support (DANTES) education symposium in Atlanta, Ga.

Raney described the theory and practice of the contemporary media as it involves university personnel. Topics covered were the standards of professional
journalism and the events that have altered journalism. Professor Raney is the director of Florida Tech’s graduate studies program at Fort Lee, Va.

Since 1973 the U. S. Army and Florida Tech has operated a cooperative degree program that combines instruction received during a 16-week Army logistics
class with graduate classes at Florida Tech. The entire program is completed at Fort Lee. The cooperative master’s program is for military officers,
federal government executives and foreign military officers.
